Abstract

A flat panel display apparatus including an on screen display (OSD) driver designed to operate in accordance with a system clock used in the flat panel display apparatus, thereby enabling the flat panel display apparatus to stably display an OSD picture. The apparatus includes a microcomputer. The OSD driver receives the detected OSD data from the microcomputer and generates an OSD video signal corresponding to the received OSD data in sync with an OSD synchronizing signal applied thereto.
