Abstract

The invention discloses application of glycyrrhetinic acid to prevention and treatment of stem cell senescence. The glycyrrhetinic acid can regulate and control senescence of bone marrow hematopoieticstem cells from a gene level and improve functions of the senescent bone marrow stem cells. After the glycyrrhetinic acid is added into the senescent cells for culturing, galactosidase staining positive cells are reduced. In a mouse senescence model, spleen extramedullary hematopoiesis of senescent mice after the glycyrrhetinic acid is applied is relieved, and myeloid differentiation tendency ofbone marrow hematopoiesis is rescued. The glycyrrhetinic acid can regulate the senescent stem cells and improve inflammatory senescence through programmed control of the gene level, plays a role in preventing and treating senescence of the stem cells, and provides a new idea for clinical application of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. The glycyrrhetinic acid can directly target an inflammatory factor IL-6, patients with novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreaking in 2019 accompany high-level IL-6, and effective drugs, pneumonia No.1 and Lianhua Qingwen Granule, at present both contain liquorice components, so that the glycyrrhetinic acid is expected to provide a reference for novel coronavirus treatment.
