Abstract

The invention provides urechis unicinctus polypeptide with angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitory activity and application thereof. The amino acid sequence of the urechis unicinctus polypeptide is shown as SEQ ID NO.1. The urechis unicinctus polypeptide has no inhibition effect on proliferation of HUVEC cells, can antagonize the effect of noradrenaline (NE) on inhibiting NO release in cells, and can inhibit the effect of promoting cell release ET-1 caused by NE, thereby achieving the purpose of reducing blood pressure. According to the urechis unicinctus polypeptide, the activity of ACE is inhibited in a non-competitive mode, the content of bradykinin is increased, and the phosphorylation effect at endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) is affected, so that the activity of eNOS is improved, more NO is released, ET-1 is inhibited, and the effect of reducing blood pressure is achieved.
