The method comprises the steps of obtaining to-be-processed brightness data of a to-be-processed image, and determining a self-adaptive brightness data set based on a preset brightness parameter set and the to-be-processed brightness data; performing image processing on the to-be-processed brightness data and the to-be-processed image based on the adaptive brightness data set to obtain a target fusion image;and extracting fusion brightness data of the target fusion image and to-be-processed chrominance data of the to-be-processed image, and combining the fusion brightness data and the to-be-processed chrominance data to output a target image. According to the method, the image processing process can be controlled, the problem that the processing effect is uncontrollable due to the fact that the samedata is used for processing the images with different contents is avoided, meanwhile, different areas of the image to be processed can be locally adjusted, and the effect of increasing local image details is achieved.
