Abstract

A method for determining the strength of an engine connecting rod, comprising the following steps: A. three-dimensional modeling; B. finite element meshing; C. defining contact pairs; D. defining material properties; E. defining loads and boundary conditions; F. Setting working conditions and corresponding models; G. Analysis and judgment; H. High cycle fatigue analysis working conditions and result analysis. The invention uses the finite element calculation method to calculate and analyze the connecting rod of the engine by using a computer. Compared with the test method, the invention has the advantages of low cost, good flexibility, short cycle, high precision, and intuitive distribution of stress results. The number of tests is reduced, the test cost is reduced, and the engine development speed is increased.
