Abstract

The invention provides a fish gathering and transporting system suitable for a dam and a fish gathering and transporting method thereof. The method comprises the steps that downstream fishes flow upwards in an adverse current mode to penetrate through an anti-escape cage to enter a vertical shaft; a fish gathering box sinking in water in the vertical shaft is lifted away from the water surface, the fishes in the fish gathering box slide into a water storage hopper at the bottom of a fish gathering tank, and then the water storage hopper at the bottom of the fish gathering box is connected with a sliding groove in the dam; a gate valve is opened, the fishes in the water storage hopper flow into the sliding groove along with water, the fishes flowing out of the sliding groove are conveyed into a temporary rearing pond through a grading grid, small fishes fall into a first temporary rearing area from gaps between grid strips, and large fishes slide into a second temporary rearing area on the grading grid; and the fishes in all the temporary rearing areas are transferred to an upstream water area.
