The invention provides a diaphragm type fishway, and relates to fishways, in particular to cascade fishways which provide assistance to fish migration. The section of the fishway in the vertical direction is in a U shape, namely a hollow cuboid with an opening at the upper end. The bottom slope of the fishway is 0.015-0.035, a plurality of diaphragms are fixed on the left sidewall, the bottom surface and the right sidewall of the fishway in a sealed manner, and the central part of each diaphragm can rise and fall; when the centers of the diaphragms are located at the lowest positions, the diaphragms divide the fishway into a plurality of water bodies, namely cascade fishway bodies; and when the centers of the diaphragms are located at the highest positions, the water body enclosed by eachdiaphragm and the fishway can be connected with the water body enclosed when the center of the previous diaphragm is located at the lowest position to form a water body, that is, when the diaphragm isin the highest position, after the fishway is filled with water, the central part of the previous diaphragm at the lowest position can be submerged. Fish can inhabit in the fishway; for larger fishes, the fishes can also jump up in a cascade fishway manner; and the flow of water can be reduced, so the water is saved, the water is used for generating electricity, and energy sources can be saved.
