Abstract

The invention discloses an intelligent incident wave direction detection method based on a phase regulation metasurface, and aims to combine the phase regulation and control metasurface with a neural network calculation method to realize detection of the direction of an incident wave. The system is composed of an incident space, an observation space and an estimation space. A spherical coordinate system is adopted for representation of the incoming wave direction. The observation space is composed of a transmission type metasurface and a receiving antenna, wherein the transmission type metasurface is formed by periodically arranging sub-wavelength size units with adjustable phases. When the electromagnetic wave is incident, the metasurface of the observation space transforms a plurality of different phase distributions, and the receiving antenna receives corresponding amplitude data and sends the amplitude data into the neural network trained in advance to predict the direction of the incident wave. The receiving antenna is located at the oblique rear position of the metasurface. The metasurface formed by arranging the units with the thickness smaller than the wavelength is adopted to regulate and control electromagnetic waves, the receiving unit is only provided with one receiving antenna, equipment is simple and convenient to control and is suitable for development of the integration and miniaturization trend in the future.
