Problems solved by technology

The APES method performs spectral estimation by designing a narrowband bandpass filter bank, but the resolution and accuracy of the estimation are limited by data segmentation; IAA is a spectral estimation problem based on weighted least squares (WLS), using iterative techniques, The covariance matrix of the signal is updated by using the last estimation result to further improve the spectral resolution, but IAA does not consider the influence of observation noise when estimating the covariance matrix of the signal, and the performance of the algorithm is limited

Abstract

The invention belongs to the technical field of inverse synthetic aperture radar imaging, and particularly discloses a GNIAA-based ship target ISAR imaging method. The method comprises the following steps: initializing echo data subjected to motion compensation, obtaining a spectrum estimation initial value by using a periodogram, updating a covariance matrix of a signal to obtain a weighting matrix, on this basis, obtaining an updated value of spectrum estimation by using WLS, then iterating the process for multiple times, and taking a spectrum estimation result after iteration as an estimation result of the current distance unit; and finally, traversing a distance unit where the target is located to obtain a high-resolution ISAR image of a ship target. According to the method, the influence of noise on the spectrum estimation process is comprehensively considered, so that the final estimation result is more accurate.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of inverse synthetic aperture radar imaging, in particular to a GNIAA-based ISAR imaging method for ship targets. Background technique [0002] The Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR) imaging technology for ships at sea can work around the clock, making up for the shortcomings of optical and infrared imaging technologies, and is currently an important means of sea monitoring. Among the traditional ISAR imaging algorithms, the Range Doppler (RD) algorithm is widely used in practical engineering applications due to its advantages of simple operation and small amount of calculation. However, when the actual number of accumulated echoes is small, the radar coherent integration time becomes smaller, and the coherent integration angle between the target and the radar also becomes smaller. At this time, the resolution of the RD algorithm is limited by Rayleigh, and the azimuth resolution is low. Difficult to m...
