Embodiment A

[0198] The inventive sample demonstrates the preparation of a fabric treatment composition with a very low viscosity perfume oil liquid benefit agent (Example A). Fragrance oils are emulsified and stabilized in product concentrates. The product concentrate is then diluted with water to form an aqueous sprayable composition.

Embodiment B

[0229] The inventive sample demonstrates the preparation of a fabric treatment composition with a very low viscosity perfume oil liquid benefit agent (Example B). Fragrance oils are emulsified and stabilized in product concentrates. The product concentrate is then diluted with water to form a sprayable stable aqueous composition having an acceptable mean droplet size distribution.

Abstract

An aqueous composition, a sprayable composition containing the aqueous composition, and a method of making the aqueous composition are provided. The aqueous composition includes an aqueous phase and liquid benefit agent droplets discontinuously dispersed throughout the aqueous phase. The aqueous phase has a structurant system including a first polysaccharide and a second polysaccharide that is different from the first polysaccharide. The aqueous phase comprises less than 10,000 ppm surfactant. The aqueous composition exhibits yield stress as determined by rheological testing methods.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates to phase stable aqueous compositions having suspended liquid benefit agent droplets and products for spraying said phase stable aqueous compositions. Background technique [0002] Consumers demand sprayable products containing a variety of liquid benefit agents (eg, fragrances, conditioning oils) to treat many types of surfaces. Consumers may also be interested in sprayable products that are also easily portable for use outside the home or business. Consumers demand phase stable aqueous compositions that prevent bulk separation of liquid benefit agents, ensuring that the first spray is the same as the last, and that there is no need to shake the product before use. In some applications, it may also be necessary to minimize the residue left on the surface, especially where unsightly stains or unpleasant touches may be present. Consumers may also prefer specific spray characteristics related to parameters such as spray dr...
