Abstract

A digital dispensing device and method for ejecting one or more fluids into a target area of a substrate, and a fluid ejection head. The digital dispensing device includes: (A) a fluid ejection head for the digital dispensing device, the fluid ejection head having one or more fluid ejector arrays thereon; (B) a fluid ejection head translation device for moving the fluid ejection head over a target area of the substrate in a first direction, where the array of one or more fluid ejectors on the fluid ejection head is oriented parallel to the first direction; and (C) a control device for activating one or more fluid injectors in the one or more fluid injector arrays when the one or more fluid injectors intersect a target area of the substrate.
