The invention relates to a system for producing cryptographic material (CM), comprising a cryptomaterial server (5) and a developer module (11), wherein the cryptomaterial server (5) comprises at least one cryptomaterial generator (2) and a cryptomaterial distributor (10), wherein the cryptomaterial generator (2) is designed to generate cryptographic material (CM) on the basis of specifications (SPEC) which can be specified via the developer module (11). The system according to the invention is characterised in that the cryptomaterial server (5) has a receiving part of a specification interface (9) and the developer module (11) has a corresponding sending part of the specification interface (9) which can be connected directly or indirectly for the secure transmission of data; the developer module (11) has a user interface (3) or can be coupled directly or indirectly to such an interface, which is designed for an input of the specifications (SPEC) in abstract form, and a transformation module (1) being provided for the automatic transformation of the input specifications (SPEC) into a syntax of the cryptomaterial generator (2).
