Embodiment Construction

[0018] Reference will now be made in detail to some embodiments of the invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings.

[0019] figure 1 A 5G NR beamforming wireless communication system 100 that supports multi-TRP BFR procedures is described in accordance with novel aspects. The wireless communication system 100 includes a first TRP (or BS) 101 , a second TRP (or BS) 102 and a UE 103 . In the next-generation 5G NR system, the BS is called gNodeB or gNB. The BS performs beamforming in NR (for example, in FR1 (sub7GHz spectrum) or FR2 (millimeter wave spectrum)). NR beamforming cellular networks use directional communications with beamforming transmissions that can support up to multi-gigabit data rates. Directional communication is achieved through digital and / or analog beamforming, where multiple antenna elements apply multiple sets of beamforming weights to shape multiple beams.

Abstract

The invention provides the beam fault recovery method and the user equipment, which have less influence on standards, are low in delay, support all PCells and SCells and are based on each TRP. In a first novel aspect, each BWP of a serving cell is configured with a set of RSs for BFD, and each BWP of the serving cell is configured with a maximum number (N) of BFD RSs per TRP. In a second novel aspect, for a single DCI multi-TRP, the BFD RS is updated by the MAC CE to reduce latency. In a third novel aspect, new RRC parameters are configured for BFD RS and candidate beam RS, each TRP being associated with a different SSB / CSI-RS resource set. In particular, an additional list of SSB / CSI-RS resource sets is defined for each respective TRP.

Description

[0001] cross reference [0002] This application claims priority to U.S. Provisional Patent Application Serial No. 63 / 094,919, filed October 22, 2020, entitled "Method and Apparatus for Beam Failure Recovery" and Serial No. 17 / 480,933, filed 2021 US patent application filed September 21, 2011, the above-mentioned US patent documents are hereby incorporated by reference. technical field [0003] Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to wireless communications, and, more particularly, to beam failure recovery procedures involving primary and secondary cells and multiple transmission reception points (TRP) in new radio (NR) mobile communication networks . Background technique [0004] The fifth generation (5th Generation, 5G) radio access technology (radio access technology, RAT) will be a key component of modern access networks. It will address high traffic (high traffic) growth and increasing demand for high-bandwidth connections. It will address high busi...
