Abstract

The rotary motor (201) operates a moving contact through a mechanical coupling (202) after receiving a control signal (208) from a control unit (205). The rotary motor (201) can convert the kinetic energy of the moving contact (203) into electrical energy when the moving contact (203) decelerates, and the electrical energy can be transmitted to a suitable energy storage or supply unit (204). The operating device according to the invention is particularly suitable for operating circuit interrupters of all types.
