The temperature was monitored by a thermometer immersed in the reaction. Add water and sodium bicarbonate and mix, add weighed amine to reactor and begin constant stirring. Adjust the temperature of each batch and add hydrogen peroxide as directed. The reaction time was recorded from the addition of hydrogen peroxide.
