Problems solved by technology

Gratings, optical isolators, circulators, etc. are usually composed of multiple optical parts. Using them to form an optical add-drop multiplexer will inevitably make the structure complex, expensive, and the device volume is too large

Embodiment Construction

[0011] Please refer to figure 1 , the optical add / drop multiplexer 10 of the present invention includes an input / output unit 100 , a download unit 200 , an upload unit 300 and a storage unit 400 . The input / output unit 100 inputs an optical signal including a specified wavelength and outputs an optical wavelength signal for uploading a new signal, the downloading unit 200 downloads and outputs a specified optical wavelength signal, and the uploading unit 300 inputs and uploads a specific optical signal of a specified wavelength.

[0012] Please refer to figure 2 and image 3 , the input / output unit 100 includes a first fiber ferrule 110 , a first coupling lens 120 , and a filter 500 . The first optical fiber ferrule 110 is a double optical fiber ferrule, in which two optical fibers 101, 102 are inserted, and one end surface (not marked) is inclined at about 8 degrees to improve the return loss. The first coupling lens 120 is a self-focusing lens (GRIN LENS), which is arran...

Abstract

Three ports devices of the optical add and drop multiplexer is composed of an input / output part, a downloading part, and an up loading part. The input / output part includes dual optical fiber pin and corresponding first coupling lens and a filter. Two optical fibers in the dual optical fiber pin are as input end and output end of optical signal. The downloading part, and up loading part contains a coupling lens and a single optical fiber pin. Optical fibers installed in the pins are as downloading end and up loading end. After optical signal sent from input end and coupled by first lens, the optical signal with specific wavelength passing through filter, entering into second coupled lens outputs from downloading end. At the up loading end, input optical signal with specific wavelength coupled by the third lens, passing through filter, then coupled by the first lens, finally outputs from the output end.

Description

【Technical field】 [0001] The present invention relates to an optical passive device applied in an optical communication system, in particular to an add / drop multiplexer for downloading a specified wavelength optical signal from a multi-wavelength signal of a Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) system, or Upload the specified wavelength optical signal to the dense wavelength division multiplexing system to form a new multi-wavelength signal. 【Background technique】 [0002] Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) is currently one of the most effective optical fiber communication expansion technologies. It can use one optical fiber to transmit multiple optical channels of different wavelengths at the same time, so that the communication capacity can be expanded by ten times or even hundreds of times, so as to adapt to the sharp increase of human society's demand for information. The optical network based on dense wavelength division multiplexing needs to downlo...
