Abstract

The start controller of the vehicle comprises an operating mechanism to adjust an engine output for the driver, an engine for generating power for making the vehicle travel, a means for adjusting output of the engine by the operating state of the operating mechanism, a transmission means for transmitting an output of the engine to a driving system, a clutch for connecting or disconnecting power transmission of the transmission means, and a means for making a characteristic corresponding to an operation state of the operating mechanism of a means for adjusting the output of the engine different from a state other than a state where starting of the vehicle can be performed. An internal combustion engine controller can achieve a successful start behavior in response to the clutch state at the starting time without giving the driver the uncomfortable feeling from the engine output adjusting intention.
