Abstract

The method includes following steps: setting up at least one access control list including user address sequence and multicast group address sequence on an access server; carrying out association between information of user id and access control list; waiting for receiving message added from Internet group management protocol (IGMP); after receiving message added from IGMP, the method carries out matching operation between the message and different access control lists; finally, based on matching result, determining whether the message is discarded or not. The invention prevents issue that added attribute of multicast is possibly unable to be recognized availably caused by compatibility between Radius server and different access servers from occurring. The invention controls authority of multicast smartly and finely by through multiple conditions including users, multicast channels and time slicing of reception.
