Embodiment Construction

[0032] The degradable radioactive sponge of the present invention is composed of degradable materials for human implantation and radioactive isotopes distributed in the materials. Degradable materials are mainly collagen, gelatin or chitosan. The radioactive isotopes are: I-125, Pd-103, P-32, Sr-90 / Y-90, Re-188 / 186, Au-198, Ir-192 or Cs-137. The radioactive isotopes are uniformly distributed in the form of ions in the degradable material.

[0033] The first way to make degradable radioactive sponge

[0034] The degradable radioactive sponge of the present invention adopts the radioactive isotope Pd-103 which is very suitable for permanent implantation in the human body, and its carrier selects the collagen protein which has been clinically confirmed and used for long-term implantation in the human body.

[0035] The radioactive sponge provided by the invention uses radioactive isotope Pd-103 as its therapeutic source, and collagen as its implant carrier, and the present inve...

Abstract

The present invention relates to degradable radioactive sponge and its making process. The degradable radioactive sponge consists of degradable material collagen, gelatin or chitosan for being implanted into human body and radioisotope I-125, Pd-103, P-32, Sr-90/Y-90, Re-188/186, Au-198, Ir-192 or Cs-137 dispersed in the degradable material. The present invention is suitable for being implanted into human body permanently to treat and suppress tumor one pathological tissue, and the adopted radioisotope has short irradiation distance and no injury to normal tissue. During treating or suppressing cerebral neuroglioma or mammary cancer, the carrier material is degraded inside the tissue and absorbed ultimately by human body.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a medical therapeutic sponge, more specifically to a degradable radioactive sponge used in the human brain, breast or other organs of the human body after resection of organ tumors and implanted in the cavity and its manufacturing process invention. Background technique [0002] Radiation therapy is currently used to treat cancer and other bodily diseases, and the targeted application of radiation is known to destroy cells in targeted areas, such as rapidly proliferating cells, known as cancer cells, thereby providing a cure for the disease. One form of radiation therapy is brachytherapy, which generally provides the targeted application of a radioactive source with a relatively short half-life, commonly referred to as brachytherapy. [0003] In the field of medical clinical applications, radioactive isotopes are generally synthesized into a certain product through a carrier, and implanted into human tumors or lesion s...
