The invention provides a remote
transmission system for ultra-high-definition video signals. The remote
transmission system comprises a
signal source interface end, a single
optical fiber and a display interface end. A second optical
signal transmitted by the display interface end is separated from the
optical fiber by the
signal source interface end and is converted into a second serial signal, EDID (
extended display identification data) information is obtained by deserializing, a plurality of first serial signals are obtained by decoding and serial conversion according to a
display resolution ratio output video signal and are respectively converted into first optical signals, the first optical signals are transmitted to the display interface end through the
optical fiber after
wavelength division
multiplexing, the EDID information is converted into a second serial signal by the display interface end, converted into the second optical signal and transmitted to the
signal source interface end through the optical
fiber, the first optical signals are separated from the optical
fiber, and the video signals are obtained by deserializing and coding after the first optical signals are converted into a plurality of first serial signals. The ultra-high-definition video signals can be bidirectionally transmitted by the single optical
fiber, and the remote
transmission system is high in reliability and low in cost, and supports a display end to display with the best resolution ratio.
