Abstract

An intake manifold 5 provided with a surge tank 11 directing in a cylinder line direction in a transverse engine 10 is mounted on a rear part side of the vehicle for the engine 10. An intake communicating passage 16 communicated in a vehicle width direction by sectioning the inside is formed in the surge tank 11. One end side of the intake communicating passage 16 is connected with an input side of the air cleaner 4 and the other end side of the intake communicating passage 16 is connected with an intake take-in passage 3 extended from an intake port 2 in the front part of the vehicle. An output side of the air cleaner 4 is connected with the surge tank 11. The intake take-in passage 3 piped toward the air cleaner 4 can be piped without detouring a rear side of the intake manifold 5, only space of an existing engine room 1 is required and workability is excellent without increasing assembling man- hour.
