[0020] Referring to the drawings and in particular to Figures 3 and 5-7, there is shown an improved fluid system piping structure which incorporates fins (12) and diamond guide vanes (20). With this structure, the flow downstream of the throat of the airfoil can be evened out. The ratio hinge between distributors with and without rhombic vanes (20) (compare Figs. 1, 2 and Fig. 3) clearly shows the improvement in fluid distribution with rhombic vanes (20). The aerodynamic shape of the rhombic blades (20) and airfoils (12) also contributes to the design goal of minimizing irrecoverable pressure losses of the system. Due to their aerodynamic shape exposed to the air flow, the above advantages exist whether or not the fins (12) or particle injection for NOx reduction are employed. Heat gradients across the flue cross-section are also minimized by uniform distribution of the flue gas for temperature control.

Abstract

This invention is a flow strengthening structure used inside of pipeline such as rectangular smoke flue pipe. A series of tear like fins are assembled in the pipeline and extend from top to bottom. A series of rhombic blades are assembled between tear like fins and also extend from pipeline top to bottom. They are used to supply more even fluid distribution and decrease pressure. A series of baffles extending from tear like fins and rhombic blades can be used too.
