Fiber optic categorization and management tray

A fiber optic splice organizer stores optical fiber splices and sufficient slack to permit the fibers to be readily separated, such as for reorganization or to remake a splice. Multiple hinges connect a plurality of fiber trays side by side to provide pivotable connections between trays. A flat orientation of the trays enables splicing and coiling of fibers as they are loaded into a tray. The trays then pivot into a fiber storage position. Special features of the hinges provide support for fibers and splices as they are loaded into the trays. The hinges protect the fibers as the trays are pivoted as well as when the trays are in their folded position for storage without requiring buffer tubes. Multiple architectures for the organization of fibers are enabled without violating minimal bend radii, and while providing for ease of separation of individual fibers or groups of fibers.

This invention relates generally to apparatus and methods for tightening tissue of the female genitalia by heating targeted connective tissue with radiant energy, while cooling the mucosal epithelial surface over the target tissue to protect it from the heat. Embodiments include a treatment tip that comprises both an energy delivery element and a cooling mechanism. As the treatment tip contacts the epithelial mucosa, the tip cools the mucosa by contact, and delivers energy thought the epithelium to the underlying tissue, thereby creating a reverse thermal gradient. The effect of the applied heat is to remodel genital tissue by tightening it. Such remodeling may include a tighter vagina and a tighter introitus. The tightening may be a consequence of thermal denaturation of collagen as well as a longer term healing response in the tissue that includes an increased deposition of collagen.

Impeller exhaust ridge vent

An impeller exhaust ridge vent is provided for covering a ridge slot formed along the ridge of a roof. The ridge vent has an elongated laterally flexible center panel with edge portions along which vents are formed. Standoffs can depend from the bottom of the center panel for supporting the center panel a predetermined distance above the roof deck so that attic air can vent through the ridge slot, beneath the center panel, and exit through the vents. A base panel can be provided to cover the roof deck and form a smooth substantially sealed air duct for passage of the air. Upstanding wind baffles are disposed outboard of and spaced from the vents. One or more tangential impellers is rotatably mounted in the pace between the vents and wind baffles and can be free spinning or driven by an electric motor. Rotation of the tangential impellers creates a cross-flow fan effect that draws air forcibly from beneath the center panel and exhausts it to ambience. The attic space is thereby actively ventilated.
