Abstract

A motor drive system with a fault tolerance function comprises an inverter and a motor; the motor can be an asynchronous motor, a permanent magnet motor or a reluctance motor; the stator of the motor is provided with four or six sets of windings to lead out four terminals U, V, W and O; wherein, the windings connected by any three terminals can form a rotating magnetic field in a motor air gapby inputting current. The inverter is a three-phase full-bridge inverter which simultaneously leads out a DC neutrality point N; the leding-out ends A, B and C of the three bridge arms of the inverter and the DC neutrality point N are connected with the four leding-out terminals U, V, W and O of the motor. When any phase of the motor drive system of the invention is wrong, the fault tolerance control can be realized by simply changing control algorithm without needing a hardware switch to participate in; a fault tolerance operation state without needing stopping the machine can also be fast entered.
