Problems solved by technology

Because zero-valent iron is easily corroded under neutral conditions, a dense iron oxide film is formed on its surface, which inhibits the oxidation-reduction process between zero-valent iron and pollutants, thus reducing the catalytic activity of zero-valent iron. active
The use of zero-valent iron as a source of iron ions in the Fenton reaction under acidic conditions to degrade azo dyes and phenol has also been studied a series of studies. The discharge of iron ions into water will also cause secondary environmental pollution

Abstract

The invention provides a novel high-efficiency multi-phase Fenton reaction system FeOxH2x-3-Fe / H2O2 / UVA used for degrading organic contaminant in water. Zero-valent iron powders sold in the market or prepared at home are calcined for 15-90 minutes at the low temperature of 150-400 DEG C and catalyses and degrades the organic contaminants with the existence of ultraviolet and hydrogen peroxide; after the step is repeated for 2-5 times, the zero-valent iron powders are filtrated, washed by water and dried for 1-5 hours at the temperature of 70-110 DEG C to gain the yellow FeOxH2x-3-Fe catalyst. The FeOxH2x-3-Fe material has an obvious core-shell structure; wherein, the iron oxide (FeOOH and Fe2O3) on the surface of the catalyst and the internal zero-valent iron form different redox couples which have the similar performance of galvanic cells. Under the illumination of the ultraviolet, the FeOxH2x-3-Fe can catalyse the hydrogen peroxide and degrade the organic contaminant with high-efficiency; furthermore, the catalyst can be magnetically recovered and have stability of circular utilization.

Description

Efficient technology for removal of organic pollutants in water by multiphase Fenton system FeOxH2x-3-Fe / H2O2 / UVA technical field The invention relates to a preparation method of a novel heterogeneous Fenton reaction catalyst, in particular to a preparation method of a FeOxH2x-3-Fe catalyst and research on catalytic removal of organic pollutants in water bodies. Background technique: In recent years, zero-valent iron has been widely used as a cheap and efficient reducing agent to eliminate halogenated hydrocarbons, heavy metals and anions in surface water and soil; zero-valent iron can also react with oxygen in water to generate active oxygen species to degrade pesticides in water and phenolic pollutants. Because zero-valent iron is easily corroded under neutral conditions, a dense iron oxide film is formed on its surface, which inhibits the redox process between zero-valent iron and pollutants, thereby reducing the catalytic activity of zero-valent iron. active.
