Abstract

The invention provides a clamping system and a method for avoiding impacting a machine. The clamping system for avoiding impacting a machine comprises at least one clamping mechanism, an equipment controller and at least one interface terminal. The clamping mechanism is used for grabbing and shifting an object grabbed. Each clamping mechanism comprises a plurality of clamping heads and a plurality of sensors. The equipment controller is used for immediately stopping the operation of relevant equipment in a production-line when the sensors detect that the grabbed object or part of the grabbed object clamped by the clamping heads drops, so as to prevent the grabbed object or part of the grabbed object from interfering with other mechanisms to cause the impact on a machine when dropping from the clamping mechanism. Each interface terminal is corresponding to at least one sensor and is connected with the corresponding sensor; the interface terminals are connected with each other or with the equipment controller by a control and communication link bus.
