Abstract

The invention discloses a flexible composite radiation shielding material which is manufactured by the processes of mixing, crushing, granulating and extruding after proportionally blending a substrate material with a shielding material. The substrate material is a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), and the content of the TPE accounts for 15-95% of the total weight; the shielding material is boron compounds, lead, tungsten and compounds thereof; the content of the boron compounds accounts for 0-75% of the total weight; and the contents of the lead, the tungsten and the compounds thereof account for 0-85% of the total weight. The radiation shielding material has good flexibility and good repeated bending property, and can be directly applied to neutron and/or gamma radiation shielding occasions. Protective clothing made of the flexible composite radiation shielding material has the advantages of good shielding effect, simple structure, convenient wearing and good operating adaptability, can be used for radiation protection of personnel in near operations such as oil exploration, nuclear chemical industry, medical industry, special industry and the like so as to prevent damage of human body caused by the neutron and/or gamma radiation. The radiation shielding material can also be applied to clad shielding of normal-temperature pipes and hot pipes, and radiation shielding in other occasions.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to composite radiation shielding materials, in particular to flexible radiation shielding materials. Background technique [0002] In industries such as petroleum exploration, nuclear power plants, and nuclear chemical industry, certain radiation protection is required for operators. In addition to time and distance protection, wearing protective clothing is an important and effective means of protection. Radiation shielding materials can be used where shielding from neutrons and / or gamma radiation is required. Protective clothing made of radiation shielding materials can be used for radiation protection of close-range operators to prevent neutron and / or gamma radiation from harming the human body. [0003] At present, the gamma-ray protective clothing generally adopts lead clothing, and its shielding material is composed of lead and soft rubber. Due to the limitation of the matrix material, the lead content is generally not hig...
