[0022] The multi-carrier receivers described herein can be used in various wireless communication systems, such as CDMA, TDMA, FDMA, OFDMA and SC-FDMA systems. The terms "system" and "network" are often used interchangeably. A CDMA system may implement a radio technology such as cdma2000, Universal Terrestrial Radio Access (UTRA), and others. cdma2000 covers IS-2000, IS-95 and IS-856 standards. UTRA includes Wideband CDMA (W-CDMA) and Low Code Rate (LCR). A TDMA system can implement a radio technology such as Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM). The OFDMA system can implement such as evolved UTRA (E-UTRA), IEEE802.11, IEEE802.16, IEEE802.20, and other wireless technologies. These various wireless technologies and standards are well known in the art. UTRA, E-UTRA and GSM are described in documents from an organization named "3rd Generation Partnership Project" (3GPP). cdma2000 is described in documents from an organization named "3rd Generation Partnership Proj...
