Abstract

The invention provides a backlight module with prismatic structures on a light guide plate. The backlight module comprises the light guide plate, a brightness enhancement film, and light source modules. The light guide plate comprises a first surface and a second surface which are opposite; parallel prismatic structures are formed on the first surface; and each prismatic structure comprises a first inclined plane and a second inclined plane which are opposite, and the first inclined plane and a second inclined plane form the same included angle with the first surface. The brightness enhancement film comprises a third surface and a fourth surface which are opposite. The third surface is opposite to the second surface of the light guide plate; and parallel prism structures are formed on the fourth surface and are distributed along the extension direction of the prismatic structures. The brightness enhancement film has an optimized incidence angle related to the angles of the prism structures, and the angles of the included angles and the optimized incidence angle are in a corresponding relationship.
