Abstract

A permanent magnet rotating machine having a high space utilization efficiency which can be used in a power generation facility such as a wind power generation facility and can easily enlarge the capacity of an axial gap rotating machine. The permanent magnet rotating machine (1) comprises two stage end rotors (3) having a rotating shaft (2), two end rotary boards arranged at an interval in the axial direction of the rotating shaft (2), and permanent magnets (6) arranged on the opposing surfaces of the two end rotary boards and rotatable integrally with the rotating shaft, an internal rotor (5) of at least one stage having a rotary board arranged in an air gap formed by the two stage end rotors at an interval, and a permanent magnet (7) supported on the rotary board and rotatable integrally with the rotating shaft, and a stator (4) of at least two stages having a fixed board arranged in each air gap formed by the end rotor (3) and the internal rotor (5) and a stator coil (8) supported on the fixed board and separated from rotation of the rotating shaft. The permanent magnets have the magnetization direction in the axial direction of the rotating shaft (2) and they are arranged in regular interval (6a, 6b, 7a, 7b) to have the number of poles of 4 or more on a circumference of each of two or more concentric circles of different diameter having the rotating shaft as the center in each rotary board of the end rotor (3) and the internal rotor (5). Three or more stator coils (8) are arranged in regular interval (8a, 8b) on each circumference of concentric circles having different diameters of the fixed board corresponding to the concentric circles of different diameter of each rotary board where the permanent magnets are arranged.
