Abstract

For the simple and flexible mixing-in of additives (25) and propellants (31), a device (1) for producing polymer granules has a first and a second static melt cooler (9, 37), wherein the first melt cooler (9) is arranged upstream of a screw machine (13) and the second melt cooler (37) is arranged downstream of the screw machine (13). The cooling of a provided polymer melt (2) in the first melt cooler (9) allows additives (25) to be incorporated particularly gently into the polymer melt (2).
