Abstract

The invention relates to a nodular cast iron type finery shielding cover which comprises a shielding cap body and a plurality of rib reinforcements, wherein the shielding cover body is made of heat resistant nodular cast iron materials, the center of which is protruded; and the horizontal section of the shielding cover body is a circular; the rib reinforcements are arranged on the shielding cover body and are distributed along the diameter direction of the shielding cover body; and the center of the shielding cover body is provided with more than one observation hole and at least one vent hole. By using the appropriate heat resistant nodular cast iron materials and reasonably-designed casting structure, the nodular cast iron type VD furnace shielding cover meets requirements of the VD furnace shielding cover for the work environment under the condition of not using refractory materials, thereby basically solving the problem that refractory materials fall into molten steel and becoming difficult to deform. The use of the nodular cast iron type VD furnace shielding cover lowers the labor intensity of workers, omits the procedures of masonry and maintenance of refractory materials and the like, and improves the production efficiency.
