Various examples are provided related to airlift pumping of downhole geothermal fluids. In one example, an airlift system includes a compressor; a gas sparger head in a wellbore of a geothermal well, and a pressure head recycle assembly. The sparger head produces artificial lift of the geothermal fluids by injecting a gas resulting in a difference in density downhole. The entrained gas can be extracted by the pressure head recycle assembly, compressed, and reinjected downhole. The geothermal fluid at the well head can be used in direct use applications or in a thermodynamic cycle to make shaft power. The gas sparger head can include a venturi shaped passage extending through the gas sparger head and a bubble orifice including gas orifices radially spaced about a narrow portion of the venturi shaped passage. The gas orifices can have a corresponding resonant chamber through which the gas (e.g., air) is provided.

For extracting a gas-containing liquid, production tubing and at least one electromechanical transducer are installed in a borehole. Attached to each of the two opposing ends of the electromechanical transducer is at least one vibration concentrating waveguide which acts on the gas-containing liquid from two opposing ends of a core of the transducer. The position of the electromechanical transducer inside the borehole is fixed by means of a protruding member situated in a region of zero vibration amplitude on each of the vibration concentrating waveguides. The electromechanical transducer is installed inside the borehole above the bubble point pressure level of the gas-containing liquid, electrical energy is fed to a winding on the core, and gas dissolved in the gas-containing liquid is released, giving rise to a gas-liquid mixture which is raised to the surface by the lifting energy of the released gas and the pressure on the bottom of the hole. The technical result includes increasing the amount of gas released from a unit volume of a gas-containing liquid, with no significant increase in the mass characteristics of the equipment used, and ensuring that the electromechanical transducer is securely fastened and held inside the borehole in the presence of high-frequency vibrations. In addition, the proposed solution obviates the need for equipment for feeding auxiliary fluids into a borehole in order to extract a gas-containing liquid.

A conveying device for conveying a liquid / gas mixture, in particular a crude-oil / natural-gas mixture, taken from a borehole, having a multiphase-pumping device, which can be or is coupled to a feed line and a discharge line and to which the liquid / gas mixture can be fed as a feed flow, via the feed line and via which the mixture can be discharged under increased pressure as a conveyance flow, into the discharge line, and having a recirculation line, via which a sub-flow of the liquid contained in the conveyance flow can be returned to the feed flow. The recirculation line contains an injector, through which the sub-flow is conducted, with a negative pressure being generated in the process, and which can be or is coupled to a gas line, which conducts a gas taken from the borehole. The negative pressure causes the gas to be taken in by suction.
