The invention discloses a combined power control system of a radio-frequency power amplifier and a method of the combined power control system. The system comprises a signal input end, a signal output end, a filter capacitor, a power amplification tube, a biasing circuit, a thermal stability resistor, a current detection circuit, an error amplifier and a control voltage source, wherein the current detection circuit collects base current of the power amplification tube, converts the base current into voltage, transmits the voltage into error amplifier, compares the voltage with control voltagein the error amplifier, and changes the base current, which is provided for the power amplification tube by the biasing circuit, according to a comparison result, thereby fulfilling the aim of controlling the base current by using the control voltage so as to indirectly control the output power of a power amplification module. The combined power control system controls collector currents by controlling the base current, and does not need any devices added between a collector and a battery to ensure that the collector of the power amplification tube can see the voltage of the battery directly,thereby obtaining a higher efficiency.
