Abstract

Both ends inside the lamp tube are provided with electrodes. Mixed gas of deuterium and xenon is filled in the lamp tube. The content of deuterium in the mixed gas ranges from 0.02 to 0.12 percent. The electrodes are an anode and a cathode which are prepared by permeating trace elements of caesium and thorium into barium tungsten. A spectral output range can be regulated. The deuterium is used in the tube and the caesium and thorium electrodes are used, and thus, the carrying capacity is improved in a lamp tube cavity, the lamp tube emits strong light in shorter time and part of spectrums of over 400 nanometers are transferred to spectrums of 100 nanometers to 285 nanometers so as to fulfill the aim of sterilization.
