Problems solved by technology

[0008] When the MTC-IWF receives the control signaling from the MTC server to the MTC terminal, it needs to obtain routing information from the HLR / HSS to find the MME serving the MTC terminal. This increases the message processing link of the MTC-IWF, making the MTC-IWF High processing complexity
In addition, the external interface between the MTC server and MTC-IWF uses the IMSI as the terminal identifier, and there is a security risk of IMSI exposure, which is not conducive to protecting the privacy of user information

Embodiment 1

[0078] The following takes the MTC device triggering feature as an example to illustrate the operation process of the above method, such as Figure 6A Shown:

[0079] Step 1. The MTC Server sends a trigger request message to the MTC-IWF entity of the 3GPP network, which carries the external identifier of the target MTC terminal to be triggered.

[0080] Step 2: After receiving the trigger request message, the MTC-IWF entity determines the GUTI corresponding to the external identifier in the trigger request message according to the mapping relationship between the external identifier and the GUTI maintained locally. The MTC-IWF entity determines the serving MME of the target MTC terminal according to the information provided by the GUMMEI in the GUTI. As required, the MTC-IWF entity also performs necessary protocol conversion and adaptation on the trigger request message.

[0081] Step 3, MTC-IWF sends the trigger request message after protocol conversion and adaptation to th...

[0088] The following takes the MTC device triggering feature as an example to illustrate the operation process of the above method, such as Figure 6B Shown:

[0089] Step 1. The MTC Application sends a trigger request message to the MTC Server, which carries the external identifier of the target MTC terminal to be triggered.

[0090] Step 2: After receiving the trigger request message, the MTC Server determines the GUTI corresponding to the external identifier in the trigger request message according to the mapping relationship between the external identifier and the GUTI maintained locally.

[0091] Step 3. The MTC Server sends a trigger request message to the MTC-IWF entity, which carries the GUTI of the destination MTC terminal to be triggered.

[0092] Step 4: After receiving the trigger request message, the MTC-IWF entity determines the serving MME of the target MTC terminal according to the information provided by the GUMMEI in the GUTI. As required, the MTC-IWF entity ...

Embodiment 3

[0095] The following takes the MTC device triggering feature as an example to illustrate the operation process of the above method, such as Figure 6C Shown:

[0096] Step 1. The MTC Server sends a trigger request message to the MTC-IWF entity, which carries the GUTI of the destination MTC terminal to be triggered.

[0097] Step 2: After receiving the trigger request message, the MTC-IWF entity determines the serving MME of the target MTC terminal according to the information provided by the GUMMEI in the GUTI. As required, the MTC-IWF entity also performs necessary protocol conversion and adaptation on the trigger request message.

[0098] Step 3. The MTC-IWF sends the trigger request message after protocol conversion and adaptation to the serving MME of the MTC terminal, prompting it to perform subsequent terminal trigger operations, such as triggering the terminal to establish a network connection through broadcasting, paging or NAS signaling. Communication connection of ...

Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a signalling sending method and device, relating to the technical field of wireless communications and being used for reducing the processing complexity of a network edge device. In the invention, the network edge device receives a control signalling (for an MTC terminal) sent by an MTC (machine type communication) server; an external identification (ID) of the MTC terminal is carried in the control signalling; the network edge device determines a GUTI (globally unique temporary ID) corresponding to the external identification carried by the control signalling in accordance with a mapping relationship between a maintained external ID and the GUTI, and determines a service MME (mobility management entity) of the MTC terminal in accordance with the GUTI as well as sends the control signalling to the service MME. The method and device provided by the invention can be used to reduce the processing complexity of the network edge device.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the field of wireless communication, in particular to a signaling sending method and equipment. Background technique [0002] In order to support machine-to-machine (M2M) communication, the 3GPP organization currently proposes the following figure 1 The MTC communication architecture shown. In terms of functional level, it is mainly composed of three parts: Machine Type Communication (MTC) Server (MTC Server), 3GPP mobile communication network and MTC Terminal (MTC Device). The MTC Server is outside the scope of the 3GPP network system and is controlled by the network operator or a third-party service provider. The 3GPP network provides the MTC terminal with a network connection to the MTC Server. [0003] The MTC-Interworking function (MTC-IWF) entity is a network edge device, which shields the details of the 3GPP network topology from the outside. This entity interacts with the MTC Server for control signaling thro...
