Embodiment Construction

[0026] exist figure 1 A combination of a filling station 10 and a closing station 12 is shown by way of example, with which a food container 14 can first be filled with a beverage and then closed tightly with a lid.

[0027] The filling station 10 is only schematically shown. An example is shown of an empty beverage can 14 . 1 , which is delivered to the filling station 10 . Also shown as an example is a can 14 . 2 which is filled at the filling station 10 as a food container. Another tank 14 . 3 is transported from the filling station 10 to the closing station 12 . The tank 14.4 has reached the closing station 12. At the closing station 12 , the lid is fixedly connected to the can by means of an undercut in a known manner, so that the can is then hermetically closed. This hermetically closed tank 14.5 is also in figure 1 shown in .

[0028] The difference from known devices is that a cap feeder 20 is arranged in the immediate vicinity of the filling station 10 , via whi...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for filling thin wall food containers, in particular beverage cans, which are eventually closed gas-tight and have an inner pressure that is above ambient pressure for stabilizing the food container. The method includes the steps: providing the food container with an open filling orifice in a filling station; filling the food container in the filling station; covering the filling orifice of the food container with a lid directly after completing the filling process; fixating the lid at the food container without closing the food container gas-tight; and transporting the food container with the filling opening covered.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for filling a food container which is finally hermetically closed and has an internal pressure which exceeds the ambient pressure. In particular, the invention relates to a method for filling thin-walled food containers that require an internal pressure higher than ambient pressure to stabilize the food container. Such food containers are known, for example, as beverage cans. Background technique [0002] When filling food containers, especially when filling liquid food, such as beverages, there is basically the problem that spillage may occur. Spilled food can then create a breeding ground for microbial growth in the equipment used to fill and seal food containers. The entire device may thus be contaminated. This in turn can lead to microorganisms again contaminating the respectively freshly filled food container and in particular its filling. [0003] To avoid this, it is now common practice to frequently stop an...
