Abstract

The invention discloses a method for evaluating quality of part of a reference image based on a non-tensor product wavelet filter. An existing image is easy to get distorted in compressing, transmitting, processing and copying processes. The embodiment of the method disclosed by the invention comprises the following steps of: (1) inputting a reference image and a distorted image; (2) establishingthe non-tensor product wavelet filter to process the reference image and the distorted image respectively; (3) solving information entropies of the reference image and the distorted image; (4) solving information difference VD of the reference image and the distorted image; and (5) establishing a quality evaluation function VQ to obtain mass fraction of the distorted image. According to the invention, visual features are extracted by using the non-tensor product wavelet filter, an image quality evaluation function is established based on the information entropies of the reference image and the distorted image, and the evaluation result conforms to subjective perception of human vision.
