Abstract

The invention provides a method for optically repairing point defect, which is used for optically repairing a point defect of a display panel. The method comprises the following steps: firstly, applying voltage to a display panel; secondly, detecting defect pixels; and thirdly, changing the alignment way of an alignment film where the defect pixels are located through optical alignment. According to the method, the alignment direction of the alignment film on a substrate of an LCD (liquid crystal display) is changed through the optical alignment, so that the alignment directions which are vertical to each other originally are same in directions; and when light passes through polarizers on two sides of the substrate with polarization axes in vertical distribution and the alignment films in the same alignment direction, the pixels are in dark state, so that the defects of bright pixels can be repaired.
