Abstract

The invention discloses a method for realizing load balancing. The method comprises the steps that load balancing equipment collocates an unified anycast address to be as an objective IP (internet protocol) address of service request message for each service server according to anycast address request message sent to the load balancing equipment by each service server in a server group, and records the MAC (media access control) address of each service server; and the load balancing equipment determines one service server in the server group to be as an objective server according to the principle of load balancing when receiving the service request message from a client side, and transmits the service request message to the objective service server according to the objective IP address and the MAC of the objective service server. The invention also discloses the load balancing equipment and a system for realizing load balancing. By adopting the method, the frequency of network address conversion of the load balancing equipment is reduced.
