The reactive power regulation method comprises a judgment mechanism of remote-control faliures, a conversion mechanism of a remote-control failure occurance trigger remote control mode and a one-machine mode, and a calling mechanism of a one-machine reactive power regulation mode, which are all triggered to be executed according to a certain time order in sequence, wherein the one-machine reactive power regulation mode is as follows: setting an active power-reactive power relationship curve of each fan in the wind power farm; and performing one-machine reactive power regulation according to change rules of the curve, wherein the curve is obtained by analyzing long-time operation record data of one fan in a whole regulation mode under a normal remote-control state. The reactive power regulation method has a good reactive power supporting capability in a remote-control failure state, and stablility of the bus voltage of the wind power farm under a remote-control failure condition can be guaranteed and a stable power grid is maintained.
