The adhesive and the primer are coated on two sides of the base material respectively, the adhesive comprises, by weight, 28-45% of butyl rubber, 23-37% of a plasticizer, 20-46% of a tackifier and 2-7% of fillers, ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EPDM) foam is adopted for the base material, and a K-500 primer is adopted for the primer. According to the butyl rubber foam tape, the adhesive with the butyl rubber as a main component has good ageing resistance, high temperature resistance and low temperature adhesion, and the foam tape is better than other foam tapes in waterproofness and air tightness; the foam tape is in a soft state due to addition of the plasticizer, initial adhesion and peel strength of the foam tape are increased due to addition of the tackifier, the cost is low, mass production is facilitated, and the foam tape can be widely applied to automobiles.
