The liquid crystal display device is provided with: a drive circuit board having the IC chip (4) mounted thereon, said IC chip having the drive circuit for driving the liquid crystal panel (2) formed therein; a facing board disposed to face the drive circuit board; the liquid crystal panel (2) having a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the drive circuit board and the facing board; an external circuit board (6) having a stabilizing capacitive element (7) mounted thereon, said stabilizing capacitive element generating a power supply voltage in the IC chip (4); and a connecting wiring board (5) that connects the drive circuit board and the external circuit board (6) to each other. Auxiliary capacitor wiring (3) that applies an auxiliary capacitive voltage to an auxiliary capacitor disposed in the pixel region (10) of the drive circuit board, and a power supply voltage terminal (14) that supplies the power supply voltage of the IC chip (4) are directly connected on the circuit board.
