Embodiment Construction

[0035] Embodiments will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. In addition, in the specification and each figure of this application, the same code|symbol is attached|subjected to the same component as mentioned above about the figure already mentioned, and detailed description is abbreviate|omitted suitably.

[0036] First, the first embodiment will be described.

[0037] figure 1 It is a circuit diagram illustrating an illumination device including the switching power supply of the first embodiment.

[0038] Such as figure 1 As shown, the lighting device 1 includes: a switching power supply 2 that steps down an input DC power supply voltage VIN to a voltage VOUT; and a lighting load 3 that serves as a load circuit for the switching power supply 2 . The lighting load 3 has a lighting source 18 . The illumination light source 18 includes, for example, an LED, and is turned on by being supplied with a voltage VOUT from the switching power supply 2 .

Abstract

A switching power supply includes a first switching element (8), a rectifying element (10), a first inductor (13) and a second inductor (14). The first switching element (8) supplies a power supply voltage to the first inductor (13) and allows a current to flow when the first switching element is on. The rectifying element (10) is connected in series to the first switching element (8), and allows a current of the first inductor (13) to flow when the first switching element (8) is turned off. The second inductor (14) is electromagnetically coupled to the first inductor (13), a potential to turn on the first switching element (8) is induced when the current of the first inductor (13) increases, and a potential to turn off the first switching element (8) is induced when the current of the first inductor (13) decreases.

Description

technical field [0001] Embodiments of the present invention relate to a switching power supply and a lighting device. Background technique [0002] In recent years, in lighting devices, the replacement of lighting sources from incandescent light bulbs or fluorescent lamps to energy-saving and long-life light sources, such as light emitting diodes (Light Emitting Diode, LED), is being promoted. Furthermore, for example, new lighting sources such as electro-luminescence (Electro-Luminescence, EL) or organic light-emitting diode (Organic light-emitting diode, OLED) have been developed. The light output of these lighting sources depends on the value of the current flowing therethrough, and therefore, a power supply circuit that supplies a constant current is required when lighting the lighting sources. Furthermore, in order to make the input power supply voltage conform to the rated voltage of lighting sources such as LEDs, it is necessary to convert the voltage. A switching p...
