Abstract

The invention relates to a water chilling unit. The water chilling unit comprises a refrigerating medium major loop, a freezing medium loop, a refrigerating medium bypass, a control module, and at least one transition season mode. A dry cooler, a refrigerating medium absorbing heat exchanger, a first booster pump, a control valve and the like are connected through a refrigerating medium pipeline in series to form the refrigerating medium major loop. A compressor, an evaporimeter, an expanding valve, a condenser and the like are connected through a freezing medium pipeline in series to form the freezing medium loop. The refrigerating medium bypass which is connected with the refrigerating medium major loop is provided with a second booster pump. The control module controls operation of the water chilling unit. In the transition season mode, the freezing medium loop runs, the refrigerating medium bypass runs, one part of refrigerating medium flowing from the refrigerating medium absorbing heat exchanger flows through the refrigerating medium bypass and then is mixed with the other part of the refrigerating medium. The mixture flows through the dry cooler and the evaporimeter, and returns to the refrigerating medium absorbing heat exchanger. The water chilling unit has the advantages of taking full advantage of outdoor environment as a cold source, reducing output of the compressor, having good energy-saving effect, and meeting requirements of perennial refrigeration.
