The reader comprises a first master control module used for controlling reading or writing of tag information, a first encoding module used for encoding requesting information, a frequency mixing module used for generating modulation request signals, at least one reader antenna used for sending the modulation request signals to a tag in an inductive coupling mode and for receiving tag modulation signals in an inductive coupling mode, a first power amplifier module used for driving the reader antenna, and a first antenna matching module used for carrying out impedance matching on at least one reader antenna under the control of the first master control module. The invention further provides a low-frequency magnetic transmission communication tag for liquid. The inductive coupling mode is adopted for signal transmission, and the mode of signal transmission is mainly magnetic transmission.
