Abstract

The invention discloses an experiment platform and a method of a research of relationship between power transformer internal insulating oil overheating and gas production rate and belongs to the technical field of power transformer devices. The platform comprises a protective resistor R1 (4), an experimental object (6) and the like. Voltage is adjusted through a power frequency testing transformer (3), the experimental object is formed by the steps that a heating resistor is immersed into a glass ware fulfilled with insulating oil, a guide line penetrates through the glass ware to be connected with the heating resistor, and a rubber pipe can be inserted into a glass hole in a glass cap on the top of the glass ware to guide gas out. Transformer oil is injected into the experimental object, the voltages is adjusted, and temperature of the insulating oil in the experiment, current amplitude data and relationship of the temperature and amount of produced gas are obtained. Quantitative analysis is conducted on change of the gas production rate when oil temperature is excessively high. Whether insulation aging or failure high temperature overheating of the transformer is produced can be known according to the gas production rate, and therefore appropriate improvement can be conducted on the transformer, approximate location of faults of the transformer can be predicted in advance, and examining and repairing time of the transformer is saved.
