The novel high-voltage electroscope is characterized by comprising a change-over switch, a detection probe, an insulating handle, an extension-type insulating rod and an acousto-optic display unit. The detection probe is arranged at the top end of the whole novel high-voltage electroscope, the lower portion of the detection probe is connected with the acousto-optic display unit, the extension-type insulating rod is arranged at the lower end of the acousto-optic display unit, the insulating handle is arranged at the lower end of the extension-type insulating rod, the change-over switch is arranged on the insulating handle and is connected with a change-over circuit through an internal connecting line, the acousto-optic display unit is controlled by an integrated circuit board, and the integrated circuit board is arranged in a box body on the upper portion of the extension-type insulating rod. According to the novel high-voltage electroscope for the alternating currents and the direct currents, when verification of a live part is conducted, the change-over switch on the end portion of the handle can be used for carrying out real-time switch to detect whether an alternating current transmission line and a direct current transmission line are charged, so that troubles that two types of electroscope devices need to be carried at the same time are eliminated, and the novel high-voltage electroscope for the alternating currents and the direct currents is convenient and fast to use.
