Abstract

The invention discloses a novel reinforcing device for a reinforced concrete bridge pier, which comprises two U-shaped steel hoop parts in corresponding buckling, and bolt pre-tightening parts applying prestressing force to the steel hoop parts, wherein ends of the two steel hoop parts are respectively and correspondingly welded together to form a closed hoop matched with the periphery of the bridge pier; and FRP sheets are fixedly and continuously adhered on the outer side of the steel hoop parts in the length direction. According to the invention, due to the adoption of the technical scheme, the novel reinforcing device originally integrates the FRP sheets with good tensile strength and the steel hoop parts with good plastic deformation performance; with the steel hoop parts, the stress lagging condition is avoided, and the features of the FRP sheets can be fully utilized, and accordingly, the comprehensive reinforcing strength of the device is effectively improved. Meanwhile, with the corrosion resistance and durability of the RFP sheets, the steel hoop parts can be effectively protected.
