The broadband communication system comprises a first inductive coupling unit, a second inductive coupling unit, a first CAN (controller area network) bus unit and a second CAN bus unit, wherein the first CAN bus unit is connected with the first inductive coupling unit; the second CAN bus unit is connected with the second inductive coupling unit; and the first inductive coupling unit is connected with the second inductive coupling unit through a 10 kV medium-voltage power line. Compared with a traditional narrow-band carrier communication technology, the communication speed of an application layer can reach 1M, so that the application capacity is greatly improved, and the foundation is provided for an intelligent distributed FA (feeder automation) mode; and further, peer-to-peer communication is realized during the broadband carrier communication, and the reliability and the communication efficiency are improved remarkably.
